300+ FIDF Supporters Marched Together in Unity for Israel Day Parade

On June 2, 300+ Friends of the IDF (FIDF) supporters proudly joined more than 100,000 Jewish New Yorkers and allies from diverse backgrounds in a march up Fifth Avenue, demonstrating their love and support for Israel, its people, and its culture.

The theme for this year’s Israel Day on Fifth was “One People, One Heart.” Participants came together to draw renewed attention to the more than 120 hostages still held by Hamas since their abduction on October 7, and to show unity and pride in being Jewish and Zionistic in the face of rising antisemitism.

As the IDF’s U.S. partner, FIDF’s float prominently featured oversized images of IDF soldiers in uniform and conveyed inspirational messages about the importance of the IDF as protectors of the Jewish people, emphasizing the sentiment: “There is no Israel without the soldiers of the IDF.”

FIDF was established in 1981 by a group of Holocaust survivors as a 501(C) (3) not-for-profit organization with the mission of transforming the lives of the young men and women of the IDF who protect Israel and Jews worldwide through empowering educational, financial, well-being and cultural initiatives. With 25 chapters throughout the United States, FIDF proudly supports soldiers before, during, and after their service, as well as families of fallen soldiers and wounded veterans, reinforcing the vital bond between the communities in the United States and the soldiers of the IDF.
