JCC Mid-Westchester Hosted Hundreds of Community Members at Annual Fall Fest

On October 20, JCC Mid-Westchester opened its doors and welcomed hundreds of community members to celebrate, connect, and discover at their third annual Fall Fest open house event. There were indoor and outdoor activities, entertainment, live music, dancing, sports, crafts, delicious treats, and surprises for children, families, and adults.

Under the tent, Mark Philips combined original jazz music with futuristic cartoon animations from the 50s in a very special Bleep and Bop performance; the Bach to Rock Scarsdale students sang classic hit songs; there were sessions in healthy cooking and meal planning as well as bracelet making and creating beautiful floral arrangements. Kids enjoyed arts and crafts, face painting, science experiments, gymnastics, swimming, camp games, soccer clinics, and sports activities. There were community line dance classes and family dance classes in hip-hop and jazz. Drop-in classes were also available for art, fitness, meditation, boot camps, and parent and tot gymnastics. A golf clinic was enjoyed by participants of all ages, the pool was open for lap swimming, and the fitness center was open for workouts. Over 200 lunches were prepared and packaged as part of the Bag Lunch Brigade volunteer community service project. Delicious food and beverage options were available from several local vendors.

Fall Fest offered something for everyone. It was a joyful day of discovery, making new friends, and building new connections for the community. Visit www.jccmw.org to learn more about programs and events at the JCCMW.
