JCRC-NY’s Celebrate Israel Parade Celebrates Israel’s 75th Anniversary

Isaac Herzog, President of Israel
The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) has announced that this year’s Celebrate Israel Parade will take place Sunday, June 4th.
The theme for this year’s parade, which will commemorate Israel’s 75th anniversary, is “Renewing the Hope.” The parade will run from 57th Street to 74th Street along Manhattan’s iconic 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
“We are excited to host JCRC-NY’s Celebrate Israel Parade once again, bringing together New York’s wonderfully diverse Jewish community to celebrate the creation of Israel as it enters its 75th year,” said Gideon Taylor, Executive Vice President & CEO of JCRC-NY. “We are mindful that many people in our community are concerned about ongoing developments in Israel. We believe that the parade is a unique opportunity for our community to come together on Fifth Avenue and to remind the world and each other of everything that makes Israel special, unique, and important.”
“In these moments when so much of our attention is on what divides us, the JCRC-NY Celebrate Israel Parade promises to be a powerful reminder of everything that holds us together as one proud people…Let us take this opportunity to walk together in solidarity and to remind ourselves of the power of our unity and togetherness of the spirit of peace and fraternity, to build and to renew and to heal,” said Isaac Herzog, President of Israel in a video announcing his support for the parade. “So now more than ever, I urge you all to join me in supporting the [Celebrate] Israel parade as we mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel.”
This year, for the first time, a block party will take place on 63rd Street and Madison Avenue from 11 am until 4:30 pm. The block party will feature kosher food, Israeli crafts, Judaica and activities for all ages.
The parade will also be broadcast locally on Fox TV’s My9 network and worldwide via livestream at celebrateisraelny.org with professional anchors provided by the news station.
