Westchester Snowbirds Flock to the
Levis JCC in Boca Raton

With year-round sunshine and a vibrant, active lifestyle, people from around the country, including many from Westchester, flock to South Florida year after year. This influx has helped create a new standard for the local arts and culture scene. The demand for quality cultural arts and adult education has taken center stage and the Levis JCC Sandler Center in Boca Raton is at the forefront of this enriching movement.

“October kicks off the 2022-2023 season and we are excited to welcome back friends from near and far to enjoy hundreds of in-person and virtual events,” said Stephanie Owitz, Director of Arts, Culture, Learning at the Levis JCC Sandler Center. Stephanie, who grew up in New Rochelle, has been in a leadership role with the cultural hub for more than 10 years, and is proud to present another robust season of guest speakers, literary events, live musical and theater performances, exhibitions, a film festival and more.

On November 1, four best-selling authors will present their latest works at the 31st Annual Book & Author Luncheon at The Polo Club of Boca Raton. In January, there is Israel 75, a celebration of the miracle of the birth, growth, success, and future of the State of Israel. With a variety of Israeli-themed live performances, art exhibitions, and lectures, guests will not want to miss this monumental celebration of Israel’s history and culture. The Center’s Judi & Allan Shuman Museum Gallery will proudly present Triumph of the Spirit: Jewish Athletes Before, During and After the Holocaust, (January 5 – February 28), featuring stories and memorabilia never before seen in a curated exhibition.
