Laurie Girsky

UJA-Federation of New York Names Laurie Girsky as Westchester Regional Chair

The UJA-Federation of New York recently announced the new Westchester Regional Chair,  Laurie Girsky. Previously, Girsky was Chair of Women’s Philanthropy and Women’s Planned Giving for UJA. Additionally, she is on the board of the Sunrise Association. She has served as the Parent Advisory Chair for J-Teen Leadership.

Laurie began her new role on July 1, 2024. UJA-Federation of New York is the largest local philanthropy in the world, helping 4.5 million people annually while funding a network of nonprofits, including social service organizations, Jewish institutions, and community agencies in New York, Israel, and 70 countries.

“Laurie’s exceptional commitment to the Jewish community and our neighbors will amplify UJA’s work in the Westchester area and beyond,” said Audrey Stein, UJA Westchester Regional Director.

Professionally, Laurie is a founding principal of G-Squared Advisory LLC, a fee-only financial planning firm. For fifteen years, Laurie worked for PaineWebber (now UBS) in the institutional equity sales and retail divisions.

“I’m honored and excited to continue to work with such an extraordinary community in supporting Israel and our local UJA partners, as well as working with great leadership in Westchester,” said Laurie Girsky. “I’m grateful to the staff for their efforts and the board for allowing me to serve in this new position.”

Laurie has a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. Laurie has a certificate in financial planning from New York University and is a Certified Financial Planner. She and her husband, Stephen, live in Mamaroneck and have three children: Seth (Nicole), Hayley (Leo), and Joshua.
