In response to the release of the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) audit of antisemitic incidents in 2023, Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz recently released the following statement:

“As the largest Jewish women’s organization in the country, Hadassah is deeply troubled by the documented steep spike in antisemitism in the last year. A 140% increase in reported antisemitic assault, harassment, and vandalism incidents in 2023 is beyond alarming. We are, as ever, committed to standing up to antisemitism everywhere, advocating for change, and empowering Jewish women to take pride in and celebrate their identities. This rising tide of Jew hatred affects people, especially women, every day in big and small ways, and, as we have seen, is dangerous. We call on leaders at all levels across the US and around the world to take these warnings seriously and work to counter the world’s oldest form of hatred.”
