Have a Heart for the Holidays Gift Drive
Help make the holidays brighter for 700 children and youth from under-resourced communities in Westchester! The Annual Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) Have A Heart for the Holidays Gift Drive collects and distributes gifts to children ages 0-18 who are enrolled in our programs and services.
You can bring joy to a child and ease the stress of the holidays for families by making a donation to the gift drive or organizing a pop-up collection with your friends, family, or co-workers.
What is needed most:
• Gifts for teenagers – ages 12-18. Ideas include $25 gift cards to Target, Dunkin’, Sephora, Ulta, Five Below, Barnes & Noble, or art supplies, crochet or craft kits, teen room décor, trendy accessories, speakers, headphones, phone accessories, jewelry, cologne, makeup, self-care products, hoodies, stuffies, blankets, Legos, sports equipment.
• Gifts for preschoolers – ages 3-5. Ideas include pretend-play toys, trucks, play food and kitchen sets, animal toys, toddler puzzles, toddler bilingual books, playdoh sets, Magna-tiles, Duplo Legos, blocks. Gender neutral toys and activities that children can play with on their own are most useful for busy parents.
All gifts must be new, in the original boxes, and unwrapped.
